Airtel's big announcement in times of crisis: 5.5 crore poor customers will be recharged free of cost

New Delhi, May 18: Bharati Airtel has announced a free recharge pack of Rs 49 rupees for the country's 5.5 crore low-income customers. In most states, shops and markets have been closed due to the cuts, such as the Covid-19 Lockdown. With this in mind, Airtel has taken such a step.

In addition, Airtel has said it will provide double the benefits to customers who buy recharge coupons for Rs 79. Paying Rs 5.5 crore to low-income customers for a free recharge package of Rs 49 rupees will put a burden of Rs 270 crore on the company. The 49 package has a talk time of Rs 38 and offers 100 MB of data. The pack is valid for 28 days.
